With the release of NeuroSaeculum v1.0 and the beginning of the v1.x refinement cycle, this roadmap now tracks post-release extensions, refinements, and stable additions to the framework.
Why This List Exists
The NeuroSaeculum project is complex — part research lab, part publication arc, and part living design framework.
This page exists for three reasons:
- To inform visitors
It shows where each idea or framework stands — what’s finished, what’s in progress, and what’s still forming. Readers can see the full architecture of the project evolve in real time. - To remind ourselves of our own roadmap
It keeps the work visible and prioritized, ensuring we maintain continuity across the different frameworks (Hidden Circuitry, First Foundation, Civic Topology, CivMMI, and others). - To reboot the AI assistant when necessary
If ChatGPT ever loses context or memory, this page provides a public, up-to-date reference that can instantly restore alignment — including project priorities, dependencies, and the current state of each major document.
In other words: this isn’t just a to-do list — it’s the project’s nervous-system map, showing what’s firing, what’s growing, and what’s waiting for activation.

Next Steps
- Finish reading sequence (currently started).
- Build evidence tables: Economic Stress → Neurochemical Shift → Ideological Rigidity → Institutional Trust.
- Draft rebuttal section addressing common critiques (Determinism, Anecdotal Evidence, Mechanism Gap).
- Publish as companion to Hidden Circuitry v2.
🔴 First Foundation — Building for the Next Saeculum
Blueprint for post-Crisis institutional design; defines AI governance as the core challenge of the coming First Turning.
Priority: 🔴 Critical
Sub-Sections to Restore
- AI as Governance Battle — who controls advanced AI sets societal trajectory.
- Institutional Pattern Language — bridge from Hidden Circuitry §10.
- Structural Dynamics Introduction — foundation for Framework Foundations.
Next Steps
- Integrate recovered AI-governance text (June–July 2025).
- Update tone for Anatomy of Civilization metaphor (FF = skeletal system).
- Add cross-links to Softening the Turnings and Civic Topology.
🔴 Civic Topology (CT) Updates

Future CivTop Expansion
We’re adding a lot of future topology areas to explore.
Closing Note
The NeuroSaeculum project is a living framework.
This roadmap will continue to change as ideas mature, research deepens, and real-world events reshape the context we’re studying.
Each essay, framework, and pattern is part of a larger effort to understand the hidden circuitry of civilization — and to design systems resilient enough to grow through their own stress cycles.
New entries will appear here as they emerge from the ongoing work in Hidden Circuitry, First Foundation, Civic Topology, and related projects.
For now, this page stands as both a map of progress and a diagnostic chart — a snapshot of how the system is learning to rebuild itself.
Change Log
| Date | Update Description |
|---|---|
| October 2025 | Initial publication of the Roadmap. Added “Why This List Exists” section, project priorities, and detailed notes for Reinforcing the Hidden Circuitry, First Foundation, and Civic Topology updates. |
| (Add future entries here) |
Maintenance Note:
Whenever a project’s status, priority, or next step changes — or a new framework or essay is added — record the date and a short note here.
A single sentence is enough: what changed and why it matters.
Think of this section as the audit trail of the framework’s evolution — a timeline of how the system learns from itself.
